FAQ

Is Privenote really private?

We are confident in asserting that Privenote is both private and secure, and we are committed to ensuring it remains that way. Please read our Privacy Policy for further details.

How can I send my note? Is there a way to send the link directly from Privenote's site?

Privenote provides you with a link to your note. You must copy and paste this link into an email (or instant message) and send it to the intended recipient.

Can I send a Privenote to multiple recipients?

If you wish to send the same note to multiple recipients, go to "Show options" and choose a time interval for the note's deletion. After this time elapses, regardless of how many times the note is accessed, it will be deleted.

What can I do if I regret sending the note or if I mistakenly send it to someone I didn't intend?

To retract the note, simply paste the link into your browser's URL bar. The note will self-destruct upon viewing. If the recipient attempts to view it afterward, they will see a message indicating that the note has already been read.

Can I know when the note is read?

Yes, check the notification box below the note and enter your email address. Privenote will notify you via email when the note is read. You can also add a reference to identify each note.

Can the recipient copy and paste the note, thus preventing it from truly self-destructing?

Yes, the recipient can copy and paste the note. However, Privenote focuses on ensuring that no one, including the recipient, can read the note until it reaches them. What the recipient does with the note afterward is their responsibility.

Is it possible to view a recently read note using the browser history, back button, or recently closed tabs feature?

No, once a note is read, it self-destructs. There is no way to revisit it once it has been accessed.

How long are unread notes stored on your servers?

Unread notes are automatically deleted after 30 days. For more information, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
